I happened to pass the subject for Chinaberry Blue again a few weeks ago, and the home is starting to look pretty dilapidated. Artistic license can turn a hovel into beauty, note Carey’s painting of a few blogs back.
Nearby Mesilla looked much nicer.
BTW, I’m a woodpile guy, but haven’t done any paintings in that genre for ages. I keep collecting those images for that right moment…
Spent prior weekend on mountaintop in Santa Fe at a mate’s house. Found some interesting views down a side road on the return trip, near Truth or Consequences. Everyone on the road had horses and at least 5 junked cars, except the one alien-loving oddball.
